Dylan Cochran is a percussionist from New Jersey, currently living in Montreal. He began studying jazz guitar at age twelve and classical percussion at age sixteen. Dylan graduated from Somerville High School in 2014, where he was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award.
Dylan has been a member of both the CJMEA Region Wind ensemble, and the CJMEA Region Percussion Ensemble. In past summers, he has participated in the Mason Gross Extension Division in both jazz and classical programs. As a freelancer, he has played with the Tim Keyes Consort and White House Wind Symphony as a percussionist, as well as Show Kids Invatational Theater as a guitarist.
Dylan currently studies with Aiyun Huang and Fabrice Marandola at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.
