In July 2018 the major timbre and orchestration researchers from around the world will come together in Montreal for a conference about the study and deployment of timbre in music. 

Research keynote lectures:
July 5th – Dr. Emily DOLAN, Harvard University (musicology)
July 6th – Dr. Vinoo ALLURI, International Institute for Information Technology, Hyderabad (psychology/neuroscience)
July 7th – Dr. Cornelia FALES, Indiana University (ethnomusicology)

Musical keynote concerts:
July 5th – Dr. ANDO Masateru, formerly of Tokyo University of the Arts (koto)
July 6th – Dr. Jean-Baptiste BARRIERE (electroacoustic music)
July 7th – Shawn MATIVETSKY, McGill University (tabla)

Submissions:
Submissions have now closed.

Key dates:
Structured abstract submission deadline: 15 December 2017
Notification of results: 31 January 2018
Early registration opens: 1 February 2018
Revised abstract submission deadline: 30 April 2018
Early registration closes/late registration opens: 31 May 2018
