Fun
There are countless places to discover, but here are a few of the “must-sees”
The famous ‘mountain’ our dear city is named after. It is accessible from several points and has many different overlooks. Explore on a nice day for a walk or jog, and a great view of the city!
If you don’t want to climb but are looking for a green spot to soak up the sun on a rehearsal break, Parc Jeanne-Mance is a 15-minute walk from Schulich. McGill’s main campus also has many nice places to sit outside: Lower Field , etc.
Musée des Beaux-Arts (5-minute walk from Le Cantlie)
Place des Arts and le Quartier des Spectacles (10-minute walk from Schulich)
Home of l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre Métropolitain, l’Opéra de Montréal, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, the MAC (Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal) and lots of free outdoor activities and festivals.
Vieux-Montréal (Old Port)
Check out some of the oldest standing architecture in North America, from settlements dating back to the early 17th century.
